After a dozen years or so of good service, one of the handles on my Rival slow cooker broke. I called the 800 number to order a new one which I planned to replace on my own after disassembling the aforementioned slow cooker.
The representative informed me that -- rather than have a customer incorrectly re-assemble this electrical product, or possibly be injured by sharp metal edges -- they are sending me a complete brand new Rival slow cooker! What a great company!
The only thing that bothers me is how they know me so well...
