Dish 2800 Series receiver

Hi,

My question is whether I can still use my "classic" satellite setup anymore.

Its unbelievable how much time has passed, but we're just getting back to seriouly using the truck camper after 5 years.

The receiver I have may make it sound like I have a Dumont TV sitting next to it.... It's a Dish 2800 Series and Weingard crank up dish.. w/single Lna/b ....

My dear friend I used to turn to for this passed 4 years ago, and the setup I have worked 5 years ago, but looking through dish sites, etc, it looks like I should consider throwing all out and starting over.

Funds are budgeted tightly, (read low funds)

I don't know if dish still uses the old key card system to activate the receiver...

Is there any way I can use any of this old equipment?

If not, looking first for basic w/local channels....

Appreciate any help pointing me in right direction

Thank you in advance, Best Rich
