RV-ID Problem

I use RV / ID to map our trips and my RV / ID account will do what is expected with a good web browser.

However, Friend Accounts cannot map my RV. They are taken to their Account Profile page, instead.

RV Visibility has been enabled in my account.

A call and an e-mail to Red Lantern Labsโ€™ Support Group were non responsive.

I would appreciate thoughts from RV / ID users whose friends can map the user using their Friend Account.

I am very impressed with the RV / ID unit that is mounted in the bowels of our Excel. It is about the size of two decks of playing cards. The internal GPS and cellular antennas are probably located near the top of the unit as the only mounting restriction is that the top of the unit be away from whatever you are mounting it on; up or down. When I travel away from cell sites, the unit stores my locations for later transmission. When I am home and map my RV, the RV / ID site almost invariably places the RV symbol right on top of our Excel in the satellite view. A very clever system.

Thanks โ€“

Gee, I thought that's what cell phones were for - keeping family and friends informed as to where you are. Plus, I'm not sure I want my family/friends to know where we are every minute of every day - it is none of their business. I can see that dealers would install and use it as a selling tool - one that I would then want shut off. I've even been known to shut off my cell phone when I don't want interruptions!

I would check their website and privacy statement to see if you want to use this system. It looks like it is meant for dealers and manufacturers to enhance their sales efforts.
