The jeep is brand new. Curious how to handle the steering lock other than turning the key!

My Jeep Wrangler is a 2002. I think this style lasted until about 2010, but yours is the newer style. On the older style you can open up the steering column and take out the lock pin. I was told the newer jeeps didn't have pins, but that's only second hand info.
The same with the rear lights. On the older style jeep with the large rectangular rear lights you can buy a kit from Road Master to mount separate bulbs inside of the tail lights. This eliminates hooking into the Jeep's electrical system, diodes and so on. You never have to worry about a dead battery with that set up. You might call them to see if they have a kit for the newer jeeps. What it comes down to is if there's room and a place to mount an extra tail light bulb.
