Which weight distribution setup do you recommend?

Hello,

I just purchased a travel trailer and am now looking to get a weight distribution hitch. My trailer is 23 ft long and weighs about 5000 lbs loaded. I don't want to buy a cheap weight distribution hitch but I definitely don't have the funds to get an expensive one either. I am hoping to get something that comes with sway control but if not then I'll add it later on. Below are the hitches I've been looking at in order of what I'm thinking about buying with the most likely on top so please let me know if you have any feedback on any of them. I picked out three on the cheaper side and three in the mid-range side. Any help would be much appreciated.

I love my Blue Ox Swaypro, but it's not on your list. Prior to my Blue Ox, I used a Husky Centerline TS which, I believe, is the same as the Husky on your list. It has sway control. It worked out really well for me too. Only reason I replaced it, is my new trailer tongue weight exceeded 1200 lbs and Husky max is 1200.

If there's one recommendation I would have for you, is don't cheap out on your WD hitch selection. It's one of the most critical safety items you have. The Blue Ox Swaypro is a tad pricier, at about $600, but worth it in my opinion.

From your selection, I would choose:

Curt TruTrack Weight Distribution System w/ Sway Control - Trunnion - 10,000 lbs GTW, 1,000 lbs TW - $379
https://www.etrailer.com/Weight-Distribution/Curt/C17500.html

Because it has the built in sway control, the others do not.

This Reese does have sway control but it's higher priced.

Personally, I have the Equal-i-zer. It's the closest to the Curt Trunnion you listed above.

I had a Reese, with the chains, and will not go back to another system using the chains.

Click here. MY choice and the one I use.
