Yes Yellowstone... This info is like four year's old now but the trail has been there for years. There is one of the signs with the dog and NO circle with the cross across the dog.
It is down by the old closed clinic in the Lake area. Go to the parking by the lake behind the clinic. then walk down toward the "BIG" old wood closed buildings at the edge of the water and keep walking. They store boats down there and there it is hidden. It is about three quarters of a mile long along the edge of the lake.
Shhh, don't tell anyone... We are from Montana and know some Rangers...with dogs... Oh, and the Lake Area is one of the best imho. Cheapest Restaurant buffet (info four years old) to start your day and the porch at the lodge with a beer or wine is a great place to literally kick your feet up at the end of the day. A decade ago, they would even let us bring the old lab up to sit with us and our beer/wine. Of course this was at the end of the season Sept just before things close... Good times...
