Didn't care for my Radial trails. One came apart, 2 years later they all started wearing on the inside rib.

I had some bad 15" Carlisle tires years ago (tread separation) , but I ran the 235/85/16's on my 40' gooseneck race trailer at around 17,000 lbs, dual axle, and they did well without issue for 3 years before I sold it.

Boon Docker and BFL13 thank you for your real world report!! I have done my research and found these tire to be ether #1 or #2 (depending on RV magazine) tire to get for heavy 5th wheels and trailers.

Carlisle RV tires got a bad reputation years ago, but a few years ago came out with a totally better tire, which I got for my 5er. Was no trouble with them. The "new type" Carlisle got good reviews from Rvers last time I looked at tire reviews

Now that you have heard from an "authority" on the subject you are best off to check the internet for info on Carlisle tires.
Doubtful you will get any reliable info on this forum.

I have been running Carlisle tires for about 15 years with no problems.

Maybe they're okay but why take a chance when the Sailuns are well proven and readily available both online and at dealers?
