OK here is the situation, a fellow RV'er has asked me to find a solution. He has injured his back and will be unable to lift his propane tanks into his fifth wheel for some time and wants to find a device that he can use to lift the propane tanks up to the compartments that are on both sides near the front. I have done some searching but came up empty handed, so I putting it out to the forum to help me/him out, thanks in advance. Fred

Maybe the $59 harbor freight motorcycle lift
Just mount a flat plate on top
The also have a similar priced transmission jack
But I think the mc lift would be more stable

I can explain it to you.

In our winter spot, the staff pick up the propane bottle, refill it, and put it back on the trailer.

When I mentioned to the owner how much that extra effort is appreciated, as I am disabled, She said:" That was the way I raised them." The maintenance staff are her sons!

Their policy is if mom can't or won't do it on the RV, they will.

And people ask why I keep going back to the same park winter after winter. 🙂

When I drove a Forklift. Those 30# tanks were put on by Armstrong. (the driver)
I would say. That the OP. could find someone in the RV PK to help. We as RV'rs are that way.

They make lifts for forklift cylinders but they are salty. Might want to look at aluminmum tanks to lower tare wt or some of the suggestions above

Take the 5er to the LPG provider and let them do the in and out.
