I have a 2006 Palomino Thoroughbred and it is having an electrical issue with the 12v water pump circuit? It keeps blowing the 15 amp fuse. I've turned the pump off and reinstalled the fuse and it still blow and The fuse circuit is only labeled with the water pump/furnace but when i also put the fuse back in the breaker box cooling fans come on so i'm guessing theres a live power source on too? Oh and the water pump had a 10amp inline fuse on it as well that i checked. It was not blown either. The furnace was not on due to the AC running while we were there so i don't think thats the problem. I'm guessing that during the transport of the the travel trailer to the campsite maybe a wire got smashed or got cut and eventually worked its way loose at some connection point or its maybe grounding out somewhere as the pump and trailer ran fine until the last day that we left. thats when it started blowing fuses? I could smell an electrical burn which also makes me think that its a pinched wire from that circuit as it was not coming from the water pump area or the furnace but from back around the panel cabinet. i left the unit unplugged and decided to try again at finding the issue my next trip down to my lease where this is located 7 hrs away.
I've been trying to find some type of wiring schematic to try and trace wires but have no idea on where to look. Trying to find any kind of wiring schematic for these things is next to impossible. I appreciate any help that you could offer me at trying to troubleshoot this or locate a wiring schematic.
If a 10 amp fuse does not blow inline, then the issue is not the pump its something else on the same circuit or the cumulative draw is over 15 amps. I woudl disconnect the 12v from the furnace outside, and see if the issue is still there.
