It's been a while, but as I recall when I parked my travel trailer in the trailer parks, the electric cord provided 110 electric service for the tv, microwave, and air conditioning (cooling), charged everything, including my battery, which serves my fridge, forced air heater, radio, water heater, and water pump...

But now that I have it parked at my own land, with a generator, the generator only seems to work the television and microwave. I can monitor the charging system with the monitor between the fridge and the bathroom and it seems to me, if memory serves, with generator at my own land, that sometimes the generator charges the battery, but usually not, causing me to plug the trailer into my truck. I wonder if there is something I am doing wrong, which I suspect, since most errors are from user, in my case, although it could be some kind of electrical system thing, since I do recall it has worked before...any body know anything that might help?

Thanks much

Hello again, folks. I hooked up the generator and it appears that toggling the circuit breakers did nothing to help. Only one was unlabeled between 'GENERAL' and 'MICRO.' It seems fine though, too. There are eleven spots for blade fuses but the last one is missing. When I pull the fuses only some of the indicator lights go on, but the fuses look okay (I don't have test equipment other than a test light).

What I think I need (but I'm not an electrician) is to find the circuit protection for the converter. I may have plugged it into the wrong voltage on my generator. Where is the power converter located?

Other than that this has been a good trailer for me. I bought it used in 2015 in Reno and hauled it up the Alcan (Alaska-Canada) highway the same year. It had a leak where the hot water line joined the faucet in the main sink. I could no way get to it through the cabinet door. I had to remove the back panel, which was a chore. If that happens to someone you might try getting a small plumber in there through the door with a light and a mirror, and a small basin wrench with slip joint jaws. That's all I needed to tighten it with was a slip joint pliers.

It's getting cold up here so when I heat the trailer I'm starting to get some condensation through the skylights, but I don't know if there'd be any cure for that.

Thanks and let me know what you think

Rick

Thank you very much. Forgive my ignorance. I flipped the breaker; it did not seem tripped but it may very well have been. I will fire up the gen later and we'll see.

Sounds like your converter isn't working. See if the circuit breaker flipped.
