Hi,
The master bed in our (new to us) TT converts to a sofa. When it's a bed, the top half rests on very solid wood (no give at all) over the front storage area, and the bottom half rests on the jack-knifed sofa. The 2 surfaces are not the same height (1.5" to 2" differences), and obviously not the same softness either. It's incredibly uncomfortable to sleep on! Back and neck pain after one night :M
The original folding mattress was a hard piece of foam... very rock like. We've upgraded the mattress to an 8" folding memory foam, but need to address the base support issues. My hubby would like to keep the sofa conversion function, as that's our only place to sit other than the dining table.
We've tried using the original mattress as a base, but it was still super uncomfortable.
Has anyone solved this problem?
Thanks!
