FR Rockwood Ultra Lite vs Keystone Passport quality

Hello folks,

My family is looking into purchasing a travel trailer with an outdoor kitchen like the Passport 2770RB or Rockwood 2607A models. On the surface they both appear very similar in size and features. I watched a video on youtube that toured the Rockwood and the guy was banging on the cabinets and walls attempting to show how well made it was.

I would appreciate any feedback on construction quality of these two lines. Maybe someone in the industry that sees these lines on a regular basis would have a well informed opinion, lol.

Thanks

We have, new to us, a 2011 Rockwood 8293RKSS with the outside kitchen. We love it. Except as a Ultralite they go scimpy to save weight. A prime example is the bathroom coat closet. I put a pack with my flywheels & a jug of OJ on the bottom of the closet & the floor broke. 1/8" veneer with a 1" x 1 " supporting it on one side with only 2 screws & no uprights. I've now replaced it with plywood & 1 x 2 uprights glued & screwed. No sour grapes, but they say light for a reason.

My wife and I have owned (3) Rockwood travel Trailers and currently have a 2703ws with 3 slides. Prior to this we had a Rockwood with an outside kitchen and aside from the height of the roll out we loved its convenience. I would highly recommend the Rockwood for it's construction and road worthiness. We recently traveled to upstate New York from Florida, and had no problems negotiating the rough roads.
