I have two separate places for dish input and the Antenna input inside the trailer up in the ceiling..... On the outside , I have satellite input and TV cable input .(Have never used cable TV ) Can i use the antenna input with the little green light turned on, and have both cables hooked up , I have been unhooking the satellite . If i have the green light for boost still on .and vice versa Ok here's the big question . Can i turn on the local TV , with cable box also turned on . I believe they are on two completely separate circuits , but i've heard horror stories of people trying to use both , and want to ask someone who is more familer with this , I just started using the dish this year . Any help and advice appreciated

In short , Can satellite box and green light for antenna boost both be on at same time . I dont explain things real well

I run the sat antenna through the sat cable to the receiver and then HDMI to the TV. I run the antenna lead separately to the TV via the coax input. That way I get those extended channels.

Yes you can. Our dish box has an over the air tuner and I have the antenna cable going to the dish box. That way both antenna and dish are on the same guide.

If the external satellite connection cable goes direct to the inside satellite box connection and nothing else (as it should), then the green light has no effect on it. You would need to verify that the sat cable does in fact go direct to the sat box. Or just give it a try. If the sat is working and you turn the green light on and off and it does not affect the sat, then you are good to go.
