Seriously shopping and happily lots to choose from!

Would love member feedback comparing a Keystone Premier 19fbpr, Flagstaff 21DS, Apex 214RB, Lance 1985, Spree Escape E200RBS and Spree Vision V20RBS.

Must haves include walk around QB (would like full queen, not 74/75 version) larger bathroom with either tub or shower with doors, u-shaped dinette.

Love the pass-thru drawer in Lance, level slide in Premier, window over bed with cabinets above.

Customer service with Lance is fantastic. How about with the other brands?

This is not as easy as I thought it would be!

Well the search continues. General questions:

Does the Coachman Apex 212rb have a full queen bed or a short one? Can you walk on the roof of this trailer? Is there a ladder?

What is the overall exterior height of the Lance 1985? Does this trailer have an option for an enclosed shower?

The devil is in the details! Our list is getting shorter!

Thanks for your answers!

You have seen a many and perhaps decided on what you want. Now rent one or a similar unit for a week or ten days.

Nothing but nothing introduces you to the RV world like hitching to one and pulling that barn down the road.

You will learn about your tow vehicle, cross winds, gas mileage and a host of other things.

You will know what to expect when you decided to buy one. There is a lot of money riding on your decision.

If you find a "perfect fit", you're lucky. The "perfect fit" we found weighed too much.... minor detail. Finding a "perfect" trailer is usually about finding the best compromise.

Thanks. We've been in about half on our list and are beginning the elimination process. Looking at another one today and two next week. We found one that felt like the walls were made of cardboard! Tremendous difference in construction, one brand to the next. We'll keep on looking till we find the perfect fit.

I don't know if all the RV shows are over with but it's a good way to see a lot of floor plans and model's.

I am biased towards brands that I've owned. Lance is by far the best made trailer that I've had. Your doing due diligence is a good thing. If you have any questions about the Lance unit, feel free to private message me.

Check out Open Range/Highland Ridge RV's they are very well built.... we bought the 323 RLS and have been full-time for a month.. we love it.... so much better built than other brands we looked at....Like Dutchman said.... get into unit and jump around and see how well it is built... look at manufactures forums and look at the complaints on units there.... this is where actual owners post about their issues.... we went to Highland Ridge owners forum... very few issues with units.... go to Forrest River owners forum and their are hundreds of issues.... DO NOT BUY FORREST RIVER..... tons of complaints about service...which translate to bad product to start with... Good luck...

Another consideration. How tall are you? If you are 6' or more, stand in the shower. In all likelihood you will need the moonroof over your shower to stand comfortably. How bout ceiling height?

Dutchmen has a great point about the toilet. You need to sit on the throne and make sure it's okay for you.

If you are browsing and narrowing down via internet browsing, then you really do need to go see in person.

Are you just searching these out on the Internet right now, or have you actually gone and stepped inside them.

If you have not actually gone and seen these campers personally, stepped inside and got a real feel for them, the floor plan on paper and the reality once standing inside the camper are worlds apart!

If you have not physically gone and look at each one of these campers yourself, you need to. You will probably eliminate all but one yourself!

Every brand has its positives and negatives. None will have all the positives, none. You have to decide which negative you can live with.

And about that bathroom .... you REALLY REALLY need to sit down on the potty and shut the door! I guarantee you, you'll eliminate some of these immediately!

Also, check each one with the slides IN! You WILL have times you will need to have access with the slides IN. Can you somewhat comfortably access things in the camper? The bathroom, the refrigerator, the sink, the stove, the bed, the closets. If you cannot, this will be the second round of elimination. YOU WILL eventually use the camper some day with slides IN. It will happen. How functional is it with slides in. And yes, this is something you absolutely have to experience. No one can do it for you. So spend time in each one. I promise, you'll do your own elimination, and quite possible, may eliminate ALL of them before its over!

Good luck!
