The husband and I are looking to upgrade our camper and tow vehicle.
We are looking at the Open Range JT340FLR.I think the full capacity weight is 9030 fully loaded.
For a tow vehicle, we are looking at the Ford F150 ecoboost crew cab.
I am wondering if anyone has the truck and the pro's and con's with it. We also want to bring the motorcycle with us on some trips so this will go in the bed of the truck. This also will be my main transportation tooling around town.
And if anyone has this type of camper and where they got it. We live in the Northeast and having a hard time finding a dealer with this particular camper.

If adding a motorcycle to the picture I would go for a 3/4 ton or 1 ton srw as you will be a little light on payload for both tt and motorcycle. Remember your tongue weight will be 13-15% of loaded tt weight. You must subtract the tongue weight, weight of all occupants pets and gear including the entire weight of the motorcycle in the bed from your payload. I think you will come up short and be over limits. You are upgrading the truck so go ahead get the right truck for the job now.

Unless you can find an Eccoboost with the max payload package (not to be confused with the max tow package which you will also need), you will be significantly over its payload.... without the bike. What you are proposing is 3/4 ton territory at the very least. :C

I'm sure it's a great truck providing the weight ratings are not exceeded.

With the Ecoboost there have been some problems with fuel in the oil and missing, vibration, etc. Just saying.

Unless it's a 125 or something I don't think the bike in the truck is doable. Better to look for a toy hauler TT.
