Wallaby I'm in the same situation as you. Call Blue Ox customer service they will exchange the hitch that comes in the package for the correct one you need. I'm my case I need a Class V hitch as my truck has the 21/2 hitch.

I currently own a 08 Toyota Tundra with a 5.7 liter motor. It's rated to tow upwards of 9000 lbs but the tounge weight and payload will not work towing this TT.
