Diesel price in Mexico

Anyone physially in Mexico or know for sur,what is the price per litre in Mexico?

Very hard to find on the net.

Diesel and gasoline prices really fluctuate with innovative dispenser calibration down here. Micro price calculation is like trying to count grains of sand on a beach.

I think the other formula is (if a Peso is worth about 6 cents today) 14.123 X .06 = .84738 (cents per liter) X 3.78 = 3.2030964 US dollars for a gallon of diesel .

So it the Pemex website is close to correct. They show little change over the past year……

Magna 13.337 X .06 = .80022 X 3.78 = 3.0248316

Premium 14.243 X .06 = .85458 X 3.78 = 3.2303124

Of course this can fluctuate with the exchange rate on almost hourly basis. We have hopes the prices will come down on 01/01/2016 – the Mexican people cannot take much more of these prices.

Gasoline is supposed to go down the first of next year, no one believes this but then that is life in Mexico.

By law no price increases since June and there will be no price increases until 01/01/2016 prices have been and will continue to be frozen until midnight 01/01

When the law was pronounced all the media was flooded with the news. Por cierto en español. now everyone is afraid what will happen en la dia primera de año nuevo. ¿Quien sabe?

Below is the Pemex website where their most recent pricing posts can be found - they are not always up to date but since they can only raise by about 11 centavos per month by law at the most these prices won't be that far off. The most recent post was Aug 2015 at 14.123 for diesel. Looking back over the year it has not changed much from month to month.

If I have the formula correct that comes out to about $3.20 US per US Gallon for diesel. We recently paid $2.04 in the US.

1 Gal = 3.78 liters

14.123 X 3.78 divided by 16.6567 = $3.20


Pemex Magna Gasoline for Aug 2015 = 13.337

Pemex Premium Gasoline for Aug 2015 = 14.243

Just remember it is NOT ULSD. Lots of RV'rs use it anyway but that is your decision.

I live in Puerto Vallarta. Just called and they are selling it for 14.2 pesos per liter.
