FMM online

I`ve just read that you can now obtain your tourist card online. I`m hoping that for those who attempt this method will keep us informed about how well it works. The web site had an English option but not for the form itself, which is a bit odd since tourists will probably have a different first language other than Spanish.

Anyone have a link for the online FMM? It would save us a trip to TJ a couple of weeks before our departure, if it works, and you don't have to stop to get stamped.

If it helps, this site has step by step examples

It appears that I printed the the receipt directly from the website. There was no email. The ability to print the FMME could have been there too but I sure did not see it. I can't go back to the website to check using my operation number as they call it.
So, it could be operator error, but check carefully before you exit the website.

Glad you asked...yes I was thru there yesterday and was going to post my experience!
When I completed it online the only paperwork I got was a receipt for payment ...I was supposed to get an actual tourist visa looking print that had all the details filled in. I did not get that. So after trying to explain that to them I had paid but had no visa printout,
I ended up paying for a new one. It's 332 pesos, so make sure you have the actual visa printout and the guys there will stamp it and your on your way.
I'll try next year, as there were a few rigs going thru and if I'd had all the paperwork I could have sailed thru.

I made the date of the FMM the same date as the TIPs I ordered on line. Usually a couple of days before I plan to enter ..if they question me about coming in later than the permits I would just say I had a mechanical problem in the USA. They've never asked.

Managed to complete the FMM application on line, paid by credit card and printed my payment receipt.....not sure where that gets me...I will probably just have the fill out the visa form at km 21 but not have to line up to pay for it at the bank . We shall see.

Started looking at the FMM web-site today but I cannot advance the application before 30 days of date of entry, so will have to wait till October.
One question I have.....the point of entry for Nogales gives you three options.
Nogales uno
Nogales dos
Nogales tres
So, I don't know which one of these is the truck crossing
Can anyone help me on that.
Thanks
Tony

The new San Ysidro/Tijuana facility is really great. We used it last October before it was "fully implemented" and had our FMM's in no time at all.
We'll head down for a shakedown run to San Diego in October, and have the paperwork done. Head South end of October and be set.
We have very seldom had our paperwork checked, but I'd rather have it than need it down the road.

in my experience the stamp takes 2 minutes. its the line to pay that takes longer

There is no online FMM.
Takes about 5 minutes each line at San Ysidro /Tijuana. Plus 5 minutes to fill the card right there at the counter. Longer if there are other tourists in front of you. Have to stop to stretch the legs and use their washroom anyway, so this online affair doesn't make much sense to me.
With no TIPs for vehicles required in these 2 states, I'll probably skip this stop next time and do my manly thing later on the highway. Nobody checks these FMM cards anyway.
