Traveling back South from Toledo this Sunday. Came up I75 from Knoxville. Construction and shutdowns due to accidents. Thinking to cross over to I77 South. Anybody been done that route and how's the flow of traffic?

Made the trip yesterday via Hwy 15 to 30 to 250 and connected to I 77 south of Canton. No problems at all. Much better then our drive to Toledo on I75 last Thursday. Thanks for everyone's suggestions.

Just take care on the I77 MM 1-9 in southern Virginia the Fancy Gap Mountain area. Fog is a frequent issue. Had a 90+ car pile up a couple of years back due to the fog.

not a lot of traffic until charlotte. The WV turnpike (I77)has a
few hills and turns but once you get to Wytheville, you are pretty much out of the hills.... No congestion til you get to charlotte...and
there go straight thru on I77

We have family in MI near Toledo and travel from/to NC frequently pulling our FW. Traffic flow on I77 is usually good. It can get congested at Wytheville, VA at the junction of I-81N(I77S)/I-77S (especially northbound). We've traveled Ohio Turnpike to I77 and we've traveled I75S to O-15E/US23 to US30E to US250 to I77. You'll have 3 tolls (2.50 truck/trailer)in WV. Traffic slowdowns due to accidents is anybody's guess. We prefer to non-turnpike route due to very low traffic and nice countryside.
