I95 south through North Carolina ok to go.

Hi everyone, leaving from Eastern Canada to central Florida this Wednesday, 2016 10 26, generally go I81 to I66/Va17/I95/I295/I95 south to Florida after Richmond.
Has anyone been through I95 in North Carolina lately or know anyone that has? After the latest hurricane I95 was damaged badly.
The NC DOT sites are good but an actual trip by an RVer would be very helpful.
We have the option of straight down I81 after Winchester,VA but prefer the I95 route IF it is reasonabley ok, if not than I81/I77/I26/I95 will be our route.

One more question, is I4 through Orlando worse than ever with all the work going on, we are hopefully going through on a Sunday.

Appreciate any help

I also go to Sebring and stay at Buttonwood Resort. I stay on I-95 to Fort Pierce and take 70 to the cut off for 98 which takes me right to Sebring.

Thanks to all for the quick answers, really appreciate the real experience from you people that did the drive, sounds like it's back to normal, also thanks for the hint re US301, I was considering that and as we are going to Sebring we would change over to 301 and back to US 27 to Sebring thus avoiding Orlando, however if Sunday works we might try I4, thanks again.

I came down from NC to Florida earlier last week and it was still closed around Lumberton at that point. Definitely a lot of trees down and some high water in spots, but mostly it was good to go. Once you get into SC a bit it was clear the rest of the way.

I 95 is clear, as usual I 4 will be backed up, noon Sunday could possibly be a good time to travel. We get on US 301 before Jacksonville which is 4 lanes to I 75 then turnpike.
