We are considering a trip next spring to sw Colorado and nw New Mexico, about 2 weeks in length, and I am likely to have the middle 2 weeks of May available to do so. With altitude/mountain territory in mind, but being farther south than we live, I'm wondering if that time of year is generally a good time to travel towing (we have a 29' trailer). Thanks in advance for any info you can provide -

That's a great time to go. Fewer people as most schools aren't out yet. And the weather is usually good. But you have to expect some snow. Might not happen, but expect it.
The 4 corners has become more commercialized the second time we went, so expect that too. Mesa Verde is a good stop. They do have a few electrical sites in their campground. But make reservations to be guaranteed one.

Thank you! I was wondering about snow - we'll just have to keep our eyes on the weather situation as the time approaches.
