Hey folks, I'm looking at a camping trip up towards Winnipeg, probably coming up through the UP, west towards Wisconsin & Minnesota.

Any suggestions on some nice provincial parks near Winnipeg? We don't need anything fancy, just love the outdoors and scenery.

Thanks. I don't think we'll be heading to Saskatchewan on this trip. After Manitoba we are heading down towards Theodore Roosevelt NP in North dakota then heading back towards Ohio.

If you do go that far, go a bit farther and learn about the Gimli Glider.

The whole Province has mosquitoes. More at lakes.

Thanks folks. Maybe too early but I'm thinking Winnipeg Beach Provincial Park while I'm up there competing in the World Police & Fire Games next July.

One of the best campgrounds in the country IMHO. Love it there.

Bring your favorite mosquito spray. LOTS of IT.

Uh oh. Maybe I'll expand my search then.

White shell is nice. Stayed there years ago.

Avoid Winnipeg. Horrible roads and just not a nice city.

Jmho.
