Medical help in Puerto Penasco

Folks, I'll be heading to Rocky point in January, plan to be there five or six weeks.
My wife has to have her blood checked regularly for anti coagulation.
I contacted Rocky Medical Center and they said they do it and the lab is off site.
Just looking for some input from some one with experience dealing with
medical needs like this. Thank you all in advance.

They now have meters, much like a blood glucose meter, that can test the blood for coagulation. My DH's doctor had approved it 8 years ago but he ended up off the blood thinners anyway, so didn't need it.

When they first came out, he wouldn't approve it, but later said they had worked the bugs out and it was more reliable. It would certainly make life easier for those needing this.

You might check with her doctor and see if he would approve it.

Our neighbor here in Zihuatanejo takes coumadin. He goes to lab every 2 weeks and they give him a copy of the results and send them to Kaiser in Oregon. The cost is low. There are a number of labs testing in town and the prices and services vary. You should be in good shape, have a wonderful visit!
