Memphis I-55 bridge / interchange?

Has the interchange changed at all going Southbound on I-55 crossing the river at Memphis? I know how it worked last year, but I know that TDOT has it slated for "improvement", and just wanted to make sure I don't have to do anything different.

Still major construction at the I-40/I-240 junction at northeast side of Memphis. 3+years and counting. New flyover is completed but 2 I-40 bridges are having lanes added just east of the flyover. Also some construction on the north I-240 loop just northwest of the flyover.

All of this is eastern edge of Memphis, nowhere near the Mississippi River bridges.

As I recall there is a lot of construction going on. It has been several months since we have been through there and I would believe that there is still major work going on but I do not know what is completed and what is still being worked on.

The major re-do of the Miss River bridge/I-55 interchange has "gone back to the drawing board". Lots of push-back from Arkansas, and less than enthusiastic support from Memphis.

Just went through there 2 weeks ago. All that construction on 55 is done. It's still a slow turn off the bridge onto 55 south.

There are 2 bridges across the river, I highly recommend staying on 40 until u cross the river then get on 240/55 south. Much better roads in my opinion.
