How's the road (42S) from Bandon to where it joins up with Hwy 42 eastbound? I know Hwy 42 is ok, taking 42S would save time and miles coming from the south with 33' MH and toad. OTOH, I don't want a white-knuckle experience. Have heard mixed reports.

Thanks,

Rick

I usually pass on 42S....narrow with hardly any shoulders. Easier to go almost to Coos Bay and take 42.

Which gives you white knuckles, traffic or curves? Neither has significant grades, they just follow the edge of a river plain, before crossing over a low ridge to another river. 42 and 101 will be busier; 425 curvier.

if you don't like 2 lane country roads that are curvy you may want to take 42.
the short time you save might not be worth the "white knuckles".

We go around 42S when pulling. A bit on the narrow side. But we normally are not in a hurry and not sure of how much time is saved.
