Roof sealer

Hello all, does anyone know of a product in Mexico the can substitute as a roof sealer on a trailer with an aluminum roof. I have a product in mind called Impac 5000. With my almost nil Spanish comprehension skills it seems to be what I need to seal any seams on my roof. Does any one have any experience with this or any other stuff. Thanks.

Thanks all for your responses . I just got lucky and remembered a friend coming down for carnival . He has room for a couple of tubes of Dicor. Roof problem solved. Thanks again all.

If the roof is not leaking you could use that product on the seams. It wont be pretty on the edges and it could invite even more leaks. You have 2 options: Find a Sika distributor. They should have a product in a tube that will work on the edges. Other option is to cover the whole roof with the Impac. I am not good on roofs so would get a local tradesman to do the job. I would bet that in Maz. there are at least 200 guys who do this kind of work. AS Chris stated you can put down a mesh ( HD has it) and then put the coating on top. Not too thick. I don't like it as it is messy looking but here in Kino some of there really old trailers have used that product. I just remembered the English name: Elastomeric. You are aware of the rules for foreign trailers????

Chris: Thermotek is a similar product. Both are imperbiabilizante( bad spelling). We have flat roofs and use the Impac 10 year with mesh. Works super but I wouldn't put it on an RV.

Moisheh, I don't know much about the roof products because we have a tiled pitched roof. There is one product ThermoTek that uses a mesh fabric. First you seal any cracks with one product, put down the mesh fabric, and then coat with the product. Would that work?

Hello moisheh, yes it is a permanently parked trailer inPunta Cerritos in mazatlan. I'm going to pu up a palapa over it when we come back in November .I didn't know Imwas going to buy a trailer on my holidays. All my Dicor and eternabond is back in my 5ver in Canada and I would like to put some sealant on it before we leave so that it doesn't get too many leaks over the summer. As usual a deal came up that I couldn't pass up and now I'm scrambling. Puchinno

Impac 500 is a roof coating not intended for seams. It is a heavy liquid that is sold in 5 gallon buckets. Great product buy you need something different. Is this a trailer that goes back to the USA or is it parked permanently? Do you have a leak? Where are you located?
