Route 158 out of Winston Salem NC to 220

I will be traveling to Smith Mountain Lake Va week after next from Statesville NC. I had planned on going to Greensboro and hitting 220 to 40. I looked up the time and distance on Map Quest, the map routed me to 158 in Winston Salem to 65-68 to 220 to 40, has any one in that area been over that route in a Motor home. Thanks

LOL ya there is a Mountain Lake in Giles County VA about 60 miles from Smith Mountain Lake (No campground but nice resort) But Mountain Lake is where Dirty Dancing was filmed......:)

Thanks midalantic, I was beginning to think nobody had been over that route, I go through that area all the time I have kids in Statesville but had never been to Mountain lake from Statesville I was planning on going to Greensboro and hit 220, went to Map Quest to get the distance and ETA and it showed this route. Yes its do able then Rt 40 in VA to 122 ? Tractor trailers do it all the time.

NC 158, 65-68, VA 40 & 122 are all two lane Rt 220 is 4 lane from 68 to VA Rt 40. Rocky Mt VA

No turn to 68 / 220 basically 68 becomes 220.

Not bad, I pull a 36 ft 5th wheel on most of that.
