Has anyone taken 247 from Barstow to Lucerne Valley then into Palm Springs?

Also many times traveled that route.

You need to be really careful, I've seen many head on collisions and near misses due to folks in a hurry and passing when it's unsafe.

The light at the bottom of the hill mentioned in the post above is Indian Avenue. You can follow it into Palm Springs or to get to I-10 if you need to head to the eastern part of Palm Springs area or Indio.

Many many times, Its two lane and lonely and no traffic at all. Its an easy drive and most folks stay at 70 MPH. RVs take it to go to the ORV areas There are some steep spots, going into Yucca for instance but those are short. ON 62, after you go thru Morongo Valley, you'll come to a downhill pass. At the bottom of this hill is a light, turn left there and follow it into Palm Springs. (Its the local short cut)
