US 31 going north from Indy

We are headed to Michigan next week and the GPS is taking us to Indy then North on 31. Looking at it on the map it appears to be a nice divided 4 lane road.

Would you tow up this way or use I-75? GPS says 31 is 5:45 from Cincinnati, and I-75 is 6:15??

We use 31 many times going to Michigan. Its the only sensible route!

Take the 31 route and leave in time to hit Kokomo In. for lunch. Search "Cone Palace" for awesome breaded tenderloin sandwiches, deep fried cauliflower or onion rings, and hand dipped milkshakes (with fresh strawberries if that's your flavor)... YUM!!!!

Some construction north of indy. Only lasts for a few miles. 4 lanes. 60-65 mph speed limits. Sit back and enjoy

Don't go up I-75. LOTS of construction. Dayton area, then south end of Allen County to Lima, and 40 miles of construction from Findlay to Toledo. Lots of crashes in that section, and it ties up traffic for hours.

Headed to PJ Hoffmaster state park. GPS had option to go 75 then cut west once up north.

Where are you heading? 31 and 75 don't intersect until Mackinaw. Tell us where you'really heading and we may be able to improve your route...
