Boondock sites in southern CO and northern AZ

We're currently near Lamar, CO. And we will be traveling across southern CO to 4 corners, then over to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, then on to Kingman, AZ.
We like to do a mix of CGs and boondocking. Maybe a dry camp if needed.
We usually sit for a week, then drive 3 hours to the next spot. But all is flexible. Crossing the Navajo Reservation may require a 4 hour drive unless dry camping/boondocking is allowed.
Any suggestions?

agesilaus, I prefer camping just south of Williams along South Perkinsville Road aka South Road.

Agesilaus, yes we will be in Alamosa.
I have a VA appointment there on Oct 6. But we will stay in a park with hookups as we will need to run our heat pump (lows in the 30s). We will also need to dump and fill the fresh tank.

Yes, there is Kaibab NF land north and south of Williams. We plan on spending a couple nights north of Williams. Also a couple nights east of Grand Canyon just west of Navajo Reservation.

The areas south of Williams are Forest Service land and there are many beautiful campsites available.

Do you mean north of Williams? There are many FS campss right outside the GCNP gate, or actually just outside that little town there.

If you are going near Alamosa there is BLM land west of Great Sand Dunes and a strange ex-Colorado State Park there with free power, no water.Great spot but requires a CO Fishing permit.

There is FS land all along the highway to Cortez.

The Dine’ have a website that discusses camping on the Res. Instead of “That's why I'm asking if anybody knows,..” review the website. The official information.

That's why I'm asking if anybody knows, especially from first hand experience. There is a grocery chain store in Kayenta where dry camping might be allowed.
Indian Casinos allow but it's always best to ask first.

No clue. But they are a sovereign nation subject to their law and courts. Be very cautious.

I assume you are referring to the lake near Globe, AZ. That is on next year's schedule.

Roosevelt lake pull down to the waters edge and dream. been there done it a few times no problems.
