My family and I spent the Memorial Day at H. Cooper Black Jr. Memorial Field Trial and Recreation Area Campgrounds. We were expecting a state park campground like all the other state parks campground we had been to. This one was different as it seemed more geared to people with horses, most of the campers we saw were fifth wheel campers with a horse trailer on the end. It was still very nice, the staff member on site was super helpful. We were even able to get a full hookup spot. It never filled up so it didn't feel crowded and we could still walk the trails. It will definitely be a place we look into going back to, especially if other sites are full on a particular weekend.
