Our favorite campground in the area is Amesbrook in Ashland, NH

http://www.amesbrook.com/

It is 20 minutes or so from Laconia. It's nice, quite and run by a nice couple.

I like the sites overlooking the brook.

we actually saw it this website...someone else posted about it...we liked it...we traveled on day trips to Old Orchard Bay and Portsmouth,NH..all less than 45 miles

In Gilford there is Gunstock Mountain Ski area with full hook up sites, plus they have a tree tops adventure course, zip line tours, and segway mountain tours.

In Meredith there is Clearwater Campground and Meredith Woods. Both nice camgrounds.

On the other side of the Mount Washington Valley, there is Danforth Bay Camping Resort, an excellent choice, but not that close to Lake Winny.
