I'm getting started on our 2019 Summer trip. We really enjoy non interstate routes. So far we have pretty much run the length of US 2, 36, and 85 westbound then various back roads eastbound. We have 8 weeks available. So far, after searching here about this road, I'm thinking of picking up US 30 at Frazer PA, then US 30 to RT 224 at Van Wert, 24 at Huntington In. to I39 and Il 52 to Savanna Il where we will stay with family for a few days. I haven't looked at US 30 west of Savanna yet.I'm looking for suggestions on things to do and see (we like parks and cool local things) along with RV parks you folks enjoyed/not enjoyed. I haven't looked at RVparkreviews.com yet because I'm not sure where we will end up each day. Some things I have found on Google are: The Coffee Pot in Bedford PA, Shoe house in Hellam Pa., Lehmans Non Electric Store in Dalton Oh. After I have an idea of our local stops I'll figure our camps. We like to keep it to 200 miles or so per day. More or less.
As always thanks for your advise.

Yes the Mississippi Palisades certainly is. The RV sites are first class. The overlook there has a fantastic view of the Mississippi too. We always visit the overlook when we stay at my Brother in Laws place about 10 minutes from there. Among other things, We are planning to take a riverboat cruise from Dubuque Ia. up to Savanna and return. I'll just continue researching our route, it is a bit out of the way, and slow, which is what we like.
Thanks for the help.

Nice scenic park at Mississippi Palisades just down the road from your destination.
