Roamer's Rest, Oregon

Just finished 2 months of full-timing at Roamer's Rest in Tualatin, Oregon, just south of Portland. Just the facts:

- Well maintained. Clean grounds, nice showers/laundry. No riff-raff driving 1972 Fleetwoods that are falling apart.
- Nice staff. No issues but I'm not a cranky, crusty old man either.
- Quiet. On a river in a gully and surprisingly quiet for being in a semi-urban area. Construction noise from local building but didn't bother me.
- Safe. Saw other ex-military, a cop, a gunsmith. Plenty sure others were packing too so never was concerned about safety of myself or my 14 year old.
- Access. Kinda a PITA. Steep hill into lower section but no issues up or down for me. Can only turn right on exit.
- Small sites. 20 year old park built before 40 footers with 4 slides. Worked ok for my 27 footer but not much room for my truck too.
- Water pressure. Just ok - again it's 20 year old site.
- Internet. I worked every day and it didn't bug me that it was slow.
- Sewer. Smells on occasion but it's poop. What would you expect?
- TV. Limited channels over cable. Go buy a dish if you want 300 channels.

I wanted clean, quiet, and safe above all and that's what I got. No complaints and would stay there again for sure.

You might (if you haven't) post the information in rv park reviews. I wouldn't find it safe with a cop and a gunsmith in the campground. Many campgrounds prohibit firearms.

When in that area, I always stay at Champoeg State Historic Park, just not for two months. Close enough to Newberg and a really nice setting.
