This was just posted on another forum. It's regarding an annual gathering of Escapee RV Club 'Boomers' during the Q RV Show time - the last two weeks of January. We've attended for many years and it's so much fun.
This is what Quartzsite is all about....gathering with like-minded RVers in the desert. There are many, many groups like this including specific RV manufacturing owners, geocachers, ham radios, bluegrass players groups, etc. You name it, they are there.
"our attendance is now over 125 rigs and we have only had newbies and 2nd year people intro themselves....reminds me of the days when we first visited Boomerville over a dozen years ago when we would have 175 rigs at boomerville gatherings.
We have been enjoying the walks and talks which is a great way to get to know fellow boomers. Along with talks about the value of fermenting vegetables and feeding your microbiome, to Boondocking 101, newbies chit chat, Redlands seminar along with a seminar from Curtis Coleman from RVillage. And tonight at Cool Theater there was a presentation about Rv'ing in Europe that had 75 in attendance.
Some items to look forward too....CARE auction, Dog walks, workamping, speaking circle, solar cooking, coffee roasting, ABQ Boomers and Balloons, LRC game, absorption refrigerators, arts and crafts, Mac the fire guy, canoe trip, Valley Fever discussion, Down and Dirty on Dog speak, World Wide Traveling Together, womens chit chat, mens doughnut runs (yes they are better than ever), Mexico discussion, Funny Road Signs, Scavenger hunt, trip to desert bar, video and dance 50's, 60's and 70's, 4 X 4 trips, Wine tastings,Karaoke, Dog Parade, Pot Lucks, Winchester Bay Boomerang discussion, Chili cook off, BBQ ribs YUMMERS, Gretchen's famous pancakes....I think you get the picture!!!!"
We're not there this time and really, really miss it. Have fun everyone. The weather is terrific right now!!
