My 5th wheel that I recently traded in had a Winegard Batwing Antenna with a Wingman. I had installed the new Sensar wall plate that lets you fine tune channels. I loved it.
The new (to me) motorhome had a King Jack manual tune antenna. never worked right. I took the head off and found that someone had over rotated the antenna past 360 degrees. It snapped of the plastic stop and severed the cable. No wonder it didn't work correctly.
So in its place I installed the new Winegard Rayzar Automatic OTA Antenna. I left he Jack antenna in place and just snipped the coax. Installed a new end and sat the antenna on the roof temporarily. Installed the new wall plate and hit start. According to Antennaweb.org I was 33 miles from the antenna farm in Southeast Houston. My motorhome was also in my storage location which is covered but not enclosed.
It took about 2 minutes for the search to complete its thing. I turned on the TV and did a new scan. This antenna found 122 channels. Now I still need to do some camping and more tests, but so far so good.
