I am interested in seeing what fifth wheels people tow with 3/4 ton SB. I am looking to upgrade my fifth and it is heavier.
Thanks for the help

How much did you spend on the Allison to handle that?

num nuts had this invoice for a 05 5speed and she is a 06 6speed, just had to add to c6 clutches, it holds really good, 10k sounds steep inless full billett internals, buddy at work has a 900hp 24v ppumped, big twinned and he has ripped the shafts twice

I thought about moving to a 1 ton until after doing some reserch. The only thing you will gain is another set of tires and slightly heavier springs. Same brakes, frame, transmission etc. If you are within your tire ratings you will be fine, JMHO.

do I have to spell it out?? I am using a lot less throttle then you are at the same speed, with 10psi boost at 65mph under load I would bet most people are using 12-15 or more.

Actually aren't the tires 3042 or 6084 for two. With 3600 pounds on the rear axle already you will be over the rating of the 245's. That is why I suggested 265's. Chris

"kinda" Why quote dry pin weight? Do you know what your TV's rear axle weighs fully loaded? If not you should.

You know you are in Dually territory. Possibly a newer 3500 SRW?

If I ever upgrade trucks it won't be a 3500 anything. Maybe a 350 though...

So your pin never increased from the dry weight? According to Heartlands web site 2080lbs is the brochure dry weight.
