Air Pressure for airlift airbags

I installed a set of airlift airbags on my 03 2500 HD Silverado. Wondering what a good air pressure is to run on them with a 8500 lb Cougar 5th wheel. I put #45 unloaded but seems like it needs more.

Yep used for level up. Mine works if i put 25 in unhooked. Then hook up.

I run zero when unhooked.

Going for the best ride with 5th wheel attached, not ride.

What super dave said, I installed them to level my F250 first with the 5ver, then later with the Lance Truck camper, 50 lbs would level my 5ver and when empty i ran 5-10 lbs. 65 lbs with the Lance.

I had Firestone air bags and were very happy with them, they were still working when I traded my 99 F250

They are designed to level the truck when hitched, nothing more. The amount of air in them will vary with every setup.

If you are using the air bags as designed to level, it is simple as taking some before and after rear bumper measurements.

I used to keep 50-55 in mine, loaded with fifth-wheel and 20 when not loaded.
