has anyone ever used one. it is not a de-humidifier but it is as good. seems it would be good to run this when stored, also for a 30 ft 5er, would the 1000 be enough

Used them for years! Seem to do a very good job. Probably not as efficient as an electric dehumidifier but also nothing to empty every so often. If you are using the Davis during storage, it should work fine. Add a couple Damp-Rid if you want and you should be good to go.
