Disc Brake Conversion-Complete

Swapped out my electric system for the Titan 13" Hydraulic Disc Kit on my Redwood Fifth Wheel ... the kit was right around $1800.00 and contained everything needed to do the install..

I now have a couple tows on the system and WOW ! ! ! What a difference.. It is truly is amazing just how great the system operates...

I purchased the kit from Ron Russell at Performance Trailer Braking...
and I had The Trailer Shoppe , in Leola PA do the install as I just did not have the time to do it now... If anyone is in the Eastern part of PA or even close , this place is fantastic!!!!!

Thank you so much for the info. Much appreciated. Marty

I've completed my Titan conversion on my 5er but as yet have not road tested it. Did the installers road test your for 100 miles and then bleed the brakes again ??? The reason I ask is that's what they say for the Titan actuator. Seems odd to me as you don't do it with a vehicle. Let me know please. Thanks, Marty

I did not do that... AND the Titan Sales Rep was there for the entire install.... he even emailed me the following day to see how I liked the set up... that never came up!!

Ford truck guy what do you have your trailer brake setting at now with the disk breaks? I know when we got the new 5er with disk brakes I had to turn down the gain way down on my 2011 F350 DRW. I couldn't believe the difference going from drums to disks made in stopping power.

On the dash I am at the Middle setting.. on the trailer brake slide lever I am at 6...

I was on HIGH and 10....

NOW I am MED and 6 . . . .
