I considered renting a unit once but everything I saw had a rough life. Stair carpet was badly soiled, mattress quality was bad, there were nicks and scratches in most of the interiors and there were cabinet doors that may not have been 100% functional. Walking around outside you could see the lack of previous driving skills, if I could put it that way.
So you are probably looking at a unit with fresh mattresses, the carpet removed to reveal the already installed hard floor, and some inexpensive detailing and repair inside and out. The dealer may have swapped out some worn parts as well.
My BIL once bought a class C and put it in a rental program that was similar to a condo time-share program. The $$$ worked out for him since he also got some scheduled use of his RV and the program lasted 3 years. I took his class C out a couple of times, once in later years, and he liked that because I was handy and could fix things as they broke. On my last trip in that RV I worked on it more then I did anything else. At 12 years old and 70,000 miles it was completely shot. No water damage like many older units, but completely used up.
