For those with no bathroom access during travel mode.

We would like bathroom access during travel mode, but are considering purchasing one without. Our last three all had access so would be very different. Have you regretted not having access to bathroom? Or has it been no big deal? Do you put your slide out when stopping at rest areas or gas stations, or on side of road? We are not just weekend campers going to nearby places. Travel a lot out west!

I can access our bathroom during travel and there have been a few times I am glad I can. Ask yourself where you travel and if there is ever a chance you stop without a bathroom. Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it. Unless I loved everything else about the RV to eclipse that need, it would be a priority. All that said, how hard would it be to deploy a slide if you needed the bathroom in an emergency?

I can’t imagine me buying an RV that does not have easy potty and kitchen access. But I can imagine some kid designer drawing something like that.

Mine has narrow limited access... If I had to put the slide out a bit I can't imagine it would be a big deal. If the floorplan is right I would not hesitate.

OK unless you expect to be stuck at a destination and can not put the slide out for some reason. Or your storage space is so tight the slide cannot go out etc. Not an issue IMO.

Our pop-up has no access to anything until set up. For years, we just used public restrooms, but for '20 that was not a risk willing to take.
I bought 1 of the popup shower tents. Keep it, porta-potty and bucket with TP and hand sanitizer at back of pickup. Stop where we could walk the dog, pull tent and toilet. Wife holds leash, I have private bathroom ready for her in seconds. Walk the dog, wife done. She gives dog a drink while I use and stow it away.
BTW, the other rear corner of bed has what I need to fix us lunch. Oct of 20 we took 27 days to travel 3200 miles. Never entered a public restroom or a restaurant.

For us, having access to everything or at least bathroom, refridge and bed is essential. It is a deal breaker every time.
