Front nose design and stability and gas mileage?

I am seeing that the newer nose design is rounded whereas the older ones are big and flat.

Has anyone hauled both types with the same TV and seen a difference in stability or gas mileage?

I do not believe the OP was talking about those units that has a roof line that rolls way down it the front. I believe he was talking about the caps on each end verses the square cornered cheaper units.

To each their own, but I can not stand the look of flat rear trailers! It looks like they got that far on the build and gave up!

It seems to me that unless one spends more time on the road than in a campground the mileage savings would be insignificant. I'd be more interested in the layout of the camper where one spends more time than in the tow vehicle.

Yes, I went from a square cornered flat rear 26 foot 5th wheel to a 29 foot one that weighed 3K more and has both front and rear caps and mileage was better. Most on the difference is with the front, however the rear cap will help also if it takes away the square corners. Chris
