Anyone have one? I had never heard of Glacier Peak until I saw one on CL earlier today in our search for a shorter fiver. This one is a foot or two shorter than we planned on getting and the floor plan is not quite what we had in mind. But from what I can tell from youtube vids, the quality and features tough to beat.

Anyway, I am driving 7 hours round trip tomorrow to go look at a 2015 that has always been garaged. Anything I should look at closely? Thanks for any advice?

Ahh, ok. New ones are a bit more than we want to spend. The 2015 rks on CL was $35k with two Honda 2k generators, full power remote, always garaged etc and was off 49 between Auburn and Placerville. The one that got away.........:(

You could always try and get the price of a new one down. RV's have pretty steep mark-up. Also sometimes if you are willing to order and wait dealers are more likely to deal on higher demand trailers. Plus you get exactly what you want as far as options, colors etc.

The model I am looking at is at cordelia rv in Fairfield CA. The Mountain is a bit less that the Titanium. Given the "retail" price is 55k. I would probably offer 38k or so to order one. I would also make the same offer to the other two dealers within reasonable driving distance.

We haven't decided yet on brand and model and won't order anything until later this year.

Good Luck!

There is a F26RDS about an hour away. I think this would be the floor plan I want if ORV would be willing to build me one sans the dinette. A couple smaller rocking recliners and small table would make the floorpan more or less exactly what we are looking for. I think I might go have a look today and check it out!

There is an 26RKS an hour away from you and that is the one I wanted, and he sold out from under me. I was going to make the 3 1/2 hour trip yesterday. His ad is still in there. Are you sure the one you are talking about is an RDS?

This is a new one at a dealer. Checking google it's more like 2 hour...

As far as craigslist I sold a dolphin camper on craigslist (dads that he left me) to someone coming 3 hours away. I told her I would hold it for her for 4 hours and did even though I received multiple offers for over asking. (selling price was very low, just wanted it gone fast) She did come and buy it. Not sure how some people go through life with their word being worthless.

Puzzled as to the location of the dump valves in the front storage compartment. I would definitely be installing Valterra electric dump valves so I could be at the hose when dumping.

I also thought that was a strange spot for the dump valves.

Well, typical for Craigslist, I talked to the guy on the phone Friday night since I was going to go look at the Glacier Peak Saturday morning. He said he had plans during the day, but would call me when he got home. I didn't hear from him last night, so left a message on his phone and he did not respond back. Since I got up early today to make the long drive, I sent him a text around 6am this morning telling him I was on my way.

About an hour later he texted back....."it's sold". Grrrrrrr........ Never told me anyone else was interested and just sold it out from under me even though I had planned to make the trip yesterday to put a deposit on it. Seems there is no such thing as common courtesy any more. The wife and I were really looking forward to owning this one.

Always a work-around. I like to be at the end of the hose when I pull the valves. A remote switch and electric valves would solve this issue for me.

Actually, I just found it a couple of hours ago, thanks. The 2015 has some things that they don't list in that brochure like backup camera, and his also has solar panels. Maybe they are there and I just missed it. The writing is tiny and I have old guy eyes.

Thanks, fortunately this one has been kept indoors. I have a metal carport type cover, but it is only enclosed on three sides. The open end gets direct morning sun so will have to come up with some kind of bra for the nose if I purchase it.

Nope, mine is an early 2016. The mid year changes included the Mor-ryde pin box.
I have trailer saver air hitch. Other changes were a downgraded stereo head unit, maxair fans instead of fantastic fans, roller shades instead of those stupid pleated shades....the only thig to watch for on the 2015's is the dark grey caps like to fade.

The shorter units like the 26rks are not involved in the pin box frame recall.

Rickeoni, did yours come with a Mor-ryde pin box? I ask because I see the 2016's have them, but haven't seen them on the 2015's. The pics I have of the 2015 I am going to see doesn't show the pin box, and I forgot to ask the owner.
