Got bad news today

Been feeling down lately, sluggish.. Took a trip to see my Dr. today and the news was not good...

Turns out I got a disease called..
Miss My Fiver Itus .

Went to the RV show this weekend, all the talking about campers, and all the talking to the campgrounds made it worse...

It has been 5 months since my last trip, with another month to go.

I have the same problem, making it even worse every time I park my truck in the driveway I back up to the front of the 5th. Some days I have to just go sit in it. We have winter camped before but it seems anymore if I'm off the weather has been just cold & wet....

We are just a year or two away from cutting the ties with our careers and spending time in warmer climates during the winter.

To help in the meantime, we spend time in the winter months planning our travels once we do retire.

Was all planned to head over to our local state park this Sunday for a week to open up and de-winterize our 5th wheel as the temps were to be high enough even at night. Now they are calling for lows in the 20's at night and even snow on Friday & Sunday but it's only Tuesday now so the forecast will probably change 10 times by then, wish me luck

Which park?

Lums Pond State Park now all sites are full hook ups

Thanks,,, been looking at that, it's hard to switch from Delaware State Seashore Campground, North Side... We all really like the location.. and full hook ups also.

Went and checked Seashore out but to me more like a parking lot, not a fisherman and not a big beach person either so that is my reason. Lums is 15 minutes from our house and our new unit is to big to bring home to get ready so we use Lums, plus keep getting discount codes so that really help, check it out sometime.

Will do, easy to navigate inside? Big Rig Friendly ?

Lums is one of our regulars too. Along with the sites they renovated the prices too making it a bit pricey however we are usually in the area for shopping reasons like the pilgrimage to Eastern Marine for all things trailer. Lots of big rig sites. Another regular is Killens Pond. Plenty sites for larger rigs there too. Our 'home' CG, the first & last stop for any trip is Martinak SP, Denton, MD.

We have 4 trips booked at Seashore State Park on the North side this year. DW likes it because its a very short walk to the beach, I fish while she does that... and we walk back to the marina and boat watch, and get a drink at Hammerheads...

Sell your tractor with a plow along with the truck plow, the snow blower, and the snow shovel and take that money and go south. As far as the RV show you may want to contact your lawyer, It just isn't right for some one to do that to a feller. I went to Fla for the month of Feb and while i was gone it was in the high 60's and 70's at home. My lawyer is starting a suit against the weatherman. I think we will win with the way they lie all the time.

Retirement? Heck, we are so glad we retired 17 years ago and no grass is quick enough growing to even sprout up under our feet! Whether it be RV'ing, boating, or you name it all 12 months of each year wherever you want to or will be. Good RV's don't have any layup or storage seasons as they are ready to go anytime and if smart, you'll go with them!

Loved my long very happy and rewarding working career so much but love my long very happy retirement even more! Such torture! Won't need any excuses if you simply go and use your RV anytime when desired. Retired or not!

Most of the snow is gone here in the valley, but we keep having that darn flurries thing. Lots of snow, accumulation in feet, in the mountains still. This may be a wet first camping trip Memorial Day weekend and some areas in the mountains by lakes may be flooded. Hope you feel better soon. Our fiver is parked at our house, so I guess it's time for driveway overnighters!

Got the same disease. Yesterday marked 'Half Way Day'. Half way from when we last saw our truck & trailer November 14th & when we will see them again early July.

We do have a couple of consolations. July we set off on a 8000 mile 124 day trip. From the end of May till the end of June we will pig out on things nautical right in our back yard.

The 35th Americas Cup begins May 26th through June 27th. Pretty sure I have myself a volunteer job running one of the spectator marshal boats which means a better than frontline position to watch. Early June we have The Tall Ships here for a couple weeks. Next arriving will be Marion Bermuda Race Got a shift or two finish line duty for that. Radio comms.

But wait! There's more! Also in June & part of AC35 we will have 8 of These along with These

Then there will be the visiting motor yachts numbering somewhere around 150 so far. Many of these will be of the 100' plus size.

I am not a sailor however June will be a sight of a lifetime on the water here. Somehow I don't believe I will be thinking RV much in May or June. Many of these boats make a Prevost look positively peasantry.

Yea , that helped... ๐Ÿ˜ž

You must have clicked on a few links. If you like you can come, bring a tent & put it up on some property out back of my house. You can't see the ocean from there but you can hear it all the time.:@

Yes easy getting round, I tow with a Kenworth and had no issue, apron of sites could be enlarge which would help especially when it rains so not to ruin the grass.
