Is There Such a Thing

Probably a long shot here but I am wanting to hook up an Air Lift Wireless One compressor to my new Trailer Saver BD3. I would like to be able to quickly disconnect the air line from the compressor to the hitch so I can remove it when needed. I have looked for a fitting that would attach to the 1/4" air hose from the compressor on one end and screw to the Schrader valve on the hitch on the other end. Does anyone know if there such a thing? I have googled and googled and can't find anything but I may be describing it wrong.

I'm not exactly sure what you're doing but you can get double shutoff couplers - shutoffs in both ends. I had a cheapy compressor in my 5er basement and I just mounted it above the pinbox for my 5AB. I teed in and added a second Schrader fitting - one to let air out and the other to leave the compressor quick-coupler connected to and I never disturb it. The compressor valves were leaking a little so I dug thru my toolbox and found a tiny check valve to put in the line between the airbag and the Schrader to the compressor. You can get anything you need from a valve company or pneumatic/hydraulic supplier. Craig

Why would you worry about the bags deflating when disconnected? If the line is disconnected...then I would presume the 5er wold be as well? No need to keep air in them!

Yes they do come apart easy!

My TS3 is on the way. I will use one of these in the line between the compressor and the hitch that will be run across the bed. TS wants you to mount the compressor in the hitch...but I will mount mine in the bed so all I have is the tubing running to the hitch, rather than the tubing and wiring too.

Thanks, that may be what I need. I would hope they are easy to disconnect. Just wondering how to keep the bags from deflating when disconnected from the compressor hose.

This site would have a large bore chuck and adaptor.

I just googled "air hose quick disconnect fittings" and many sources popped up. I always select 'IMAGES' when I search google for items and then click on the image for more detailed info when I find something interesting...

Ditch the Schrader and use quick disconnect fittings. This is what I did so I can use the compressor to fill tires etc. I ended up have to go to a Triad/Parker Hannifin store http://www.triadtechnologies.com to find what I needed because I also added valves and an assortment of fittings so I could adjust input. I have found the stores very help full.

Can you use something like a Milton quick connect fitting with a tee?
