Looking at a 30 amp 5er

OK...so now we are needing to know about 30 vs 50 amps. I found a small 5er nearby that has 30 amp service.

I am assuming that the rest that we have viewed all have 50 amps. What does 30 vs 50 mean in terms of our living comfort? We need to live in it in the hot/humid South for a few months..maybe a year into the cold months.

Can either of them be hooked up to a 110 residential line?

We have a 35' 50 amp trailer, but have at times stayed in parks with only 30 amp service. You can manage in hot weather with only 30 amps if you manage your power carefully. When running the A/C you have to be careful of how many other high current devices you use at the same time. Water heater on electric, microwave and/or convection oven, electric skillet, hair dryer, etc. Too many at one time will trip the breaker. No harm done. Just reset the breaker and make a mental note of what you were doing when it tripped.

The 30 should be fine for all but the hottest of climates. Cold no matter. You'll have to watch what you run at the same time with the 30, like air and MW may not work.
