Looking to upgrade to a 26-30 ft TH bumper pull with slide

Getting where our kids have gotten bigger and bring friends and we now have 3 Labs. Our 23' Hybrid toy hauler has served us very well but I'm told we want something with a little more room. We've also gone from a Tahoe to a 3/4 ton truck.

I am looking at the Forrest River XLR 27 hfs. Probably a year or so old. It seems to fit most of our perameters. It does have a slide but most have a dinette instead of a couch. I'd rather have a couch. Our 23' has a separate garage but separate or open, there is an argument either way. The Keystone may be a little nicer, but much heavier, the PCW IS nicer but I'd have to sell one or both kids and throw in a dog to pay for it.

I've looked online but it seems like everything brings you to the same few sites. There are a couple for sale on CL but nothing within 1000k miles of Denver.

I haven't had a chance to actually look at one of these XLRs but it seems like they are all similar in quality and CS.

I"m wondering if anyone knows of any good places to check or if they know of something similar I may be missing. I can't really find any toy haulers new or used at the places near Denver.

TIA

Thamks. I'll call them and see. I found an XTR like I wanted at a dealership in golden. I did the online chat and confirmed that it was there. Drive 45 min to get there and the sales guy asked why I thought there was one there. I showed him his listing on his website. He gave me standard song and dance about 3rd party web sites. When I mentioned bait and switch he got really upset. Good to hear about a better dealership.

Also that floor plan is pretty much exactly the same as our old bumper pull, which was a Keystone Raptor 27FS. It's since been rebranded as a Carbon 27 so you could look for those too if you like the floor plan. We liked the bathroom layout, but yes, not having the couch sucked, that was a big negative for us. Also having to climb in/out of the front bed wasn't great.

It pulled great with our F250, we did I-70 trips with it and it did it without issue.

Look up in Longmont. We bought our current rig at Windish, off of 119 and I-25, on the east side frontage road. There's a few other dealers there too. We bought new, but Windish had what looked like a decent selection of used toyhaulers, our old bumper pull included because we traded it in, but it did seem to sell quickly. They also have a location in western Lakewood but that's much smaller and didn't have the selection the Longmont location had. Perhaps you could even talk to them and have them call you when they get something in that fits your criteria if they don't have what you want right now. We worked with Marty as our salesperson and he was very nice to work with, knowledgeable too.

ETA: If they still make that XLR you're interested in, you could always look at a new one just to get an idea if you'll like it or not before you start a goose chase to find a used one.

Have you tried RV Trader?

I just did a search for toy haulers, within 100 miles of Denver, and found 156 of them.

Thanks. I have looked but of those only a few meet my criteria of 27-30 ft with a slide out. Most of the listing are the same new listings of new trailers repeated over and over.

But I appreciate the feedback.
