new or used?

Right or wrong I have pretty much decided on replacing my 2003 Citation Supreme 5th wheel rather than spend money on repairing what I have. I have decided not to spend over $45k and am leaning toward buying something about 5 years old. My reasons for leaning toward used are:
I love getting a deal and think an exceptional deal is hard to find on new.
I appreciate quality and workmanship more than shiney and new.
I think there is better value in buying quality used over spending a comparable amount on new.
What is your preference and why?

For that money you can get some really nice one or 2 year old rigs. Arctic Fox comes to mind for build quality

You will get a higher quality used trailer over a new one. The original owner had to deal with the little problems and the big depreciation.
