No Direct TV Receptions

Just got our new Alpine 3600RS. Set up my Direct TV Dish and for some reason, the signal does not enter the rig on either of the two TVs. Is there a switch or connection with the unit that I need to focus on?

Three fith wheels only the one we own now work on satellite. There were ends on them our the cable just had to be replaced, staple through them or ran wrong. Manufactures need to go to TV school. Most folks don't even check them when purchasing. I didn't on the first one. I did on the second one but they had to take pictures and send them in before they could fix it. Fixed it myself in five minutes because I could see they didn't know sqaut about them.

The sat prep wires probably go to the roof, not the input on the side. Chris

The dish checks out totally. Good reception and all. I suspect it is the wiring since there are two connections โ€œsatellite preppedโ€. Two orange wires go from there two black wires spelt from the orange. At the tv connections, I have an antenna connection. and two other connections, ( I suppose for cable). One is grey and one is orange. The bedroom has a grey connection as the satellite connection. Probably have to re-wire as some of you have suggested. Thanks for all the inout, everyone.

are you able to get good sat signal strength but no picture or are you having difficulty getting sat signal strength?? What sat dish are you using (18" round, slimline w/SWM, etc.)

On my older TV setup I had to run two RG cables into the trailer from my two port SAT DISH to two SAT RCVRS one in the living room and the second one in the bedroom. Have no idea how the newer trailers are setup to do this...

Then I ran VIDEO CABLES from the SAT RCVRs to the VIDEO INPUT on the TV sets.

This was how I got mine to work and also each TV can watch different channels.

The problem you may be having is the SAT DISH control voltage has to get from the SAT RCVR to the dish. Those connections you are using must be prohibiting that from happening.

Does your rig have satellite prep? If you do check to make sure it is wired correctly. Not all units come with satellite prep. ๐Ÿ™‚

I presume that you switched your TV to sat from cable reception with your remote setup program.

You basically have to have a direct connection from the satellite to the receiver with no splitters or amps in line. Since it's a new unit it may be wired for satellite but should be marked. I would run a cable straight through the door to the receiver and set up the dish. Once I know it works I would then attempt to use the trailer wiring because even if prewired for satellite they could be crossed.

I have 3 coax inputs on the outside of my rig, and it was wired incorrectly. The one mark "SAT" was connected to "Cable". So I reversed them from behind the panel.
